Our Story
Safeworks Academy is an online safety training provider based in Calgary, Alberta. It is owned and run by Waqar Ahmed, who has 8 years of experience in workplace safety and compliance training.
Waqar also owns Alberta Traffic Ticket Defense, a Calgary traffic ticket defence service. Many of the drivers it helps also need Alberta's approved defensive driving and demerit reduction courses, and Safeworks Academy is where they take them.
We believe every worker in Alberta should be able to get accredited, current safety training without classroom schedules, travel costs or rigid timelines. Our courses follow current regulatory standards and are designed for people who work for a living. That means mobile-friendly formats, plain-language content, and support from a team that actually answers when you call.
